The beautiful Villa Quartara is located near the sea, in the eastern part of Genoa.
Dating from the XIV century, the historic Villa Quartara was rebuilt in the XVI century and underwent other transformations over the years. Perfectly renovated in 2003 it became a comfortable location for conferences and scientific training meetings of the Hospital ‘Istituto Giannina Gaslini’.
The Villa is adjacent the huge complex of the Badia Benedettina, a former convent of the Benedictine order, and surrounded by a large park with centuries old maritime pines, offering a relaxing environment.
The Villa is now the HQ of Centro Internazionale di Studi e Formazione (CISEF) “Germana Gaslini”.
