Take your rhinology skills to the next level! Endoscopic surgery of the skull base and pituitary have undergone significant advances. Expanded techniques offer access to a variety of lesions of the skull base. Pituitary surgery is the foundation of endoscopic skull base where otolaryngologists learn to work as a team with neurosurgeons and learn basic techniques such as closure of csf leaks and exposure of the pituitary gland. Practical tips learned from over a decade of experience will be covered, such as post-operative care, tumor outcomes, and minimizing complications.
Course features optional afternoon hands-on surgical cadaver lab at UCSF's new cutting edge surgical training facility! Excellent instructor to learner ratio. Everyone will get plenty of time practicing hands-on skull base surgical procedures with image guidance.
